About This Item
New York: Anchor Press, 1974. First Edition. Octavo. 22cm. Publisher's beige cloth spine over blue cloth boards, titled in black to spine and with publisher's emblem embossed to front board. Dustjacket. 243pp. Bright sharp and clean in a very nice example of the Edward Gorey illustrated dustjacket with some minor edgewear and purely superficial scuffing. A very good copy indeed. An academic and even handed attempt to understand why we vilify the users of certain drugs, but not others, and why we spend so little time investigating the "why" of addiction and drug use.
