A variant printing, with red boards and black writing, the back strip section has faded to a dull brown showing handling marks, and the edges of the text block are darkened, with the foxing. Rubbing to the corners of the boards, and the edges as wellas to the head and to the heel of the spine. Foxing to the first few and last few pages of the book, original bookseller's sticker on lower right-hand corner of front paste-down.. Another in the Dom Manuel, saviour of Poictesme, sequence of more than 20 books. First British edition of a 1916 original American publication. Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover).
