|London: John Murray, 1837. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Three quarter calf binding with marbled boards. Raised bands to spine with black spine label which is loosening. Boards are scuffed and marbled paper is faded and worn. Front hinge is splitting. The frontispiece portait of Nimrod by D Maclise is missing. Pages are age darkened, especially the Alken illustrations, which are all present, with occasional spotting. Previous owner's signature on flyleaf dated 1882. 1837
