Red boards, with teal print on black spine. Pages clean and unmarked. DAW / Science Fiction Book Club hard cover with dust jacket. Feb. 1987 edition, later printing; SFBC #10580, 349 pages, cover art by Michael Whelan. 8vo (8.5" x 5.5") Phantasia Press issued a first hardcover edition of 1500 copies, and a signed boxed edition of 350 copies. 1st paperback edition was a Jan. 1987 DAW edition, followed by this hardcover reprint of the DAW paperback. 6th place, 1987 Locus Poll Award, Best SF Novel. 4th novel in series, preceded by The Pride of Chanur, Chanur's Venture, and The Kif Strike Back; and followed by Chanur's Legacy.
