According to the introduction, "As the Italian army did not enter the Kambata Province until February, 1937, it is well to keep in mind that the war which affected us was a civil uprising of the pagan native tribes against the ruling Amharas, Coptic Christians. This uprising began immediately after the Emperor, Heile Selassie, fled the country at the beginning of May, 1936. We missionaries were caught between thes two forces...." The diary runs from May 8 to October 7, 1936. Shipping weight 4 oz. in envelope.. Pamphlet. VG/No dj. 19 X 13½ cm.
