London: Chatto and Windus, 1881. First edition. Three volumes. Original blue cloth blocked in gilt and black. Piece of front free endpaper missing in vol. 1, cloth split at edge of spine. Slight shelf-wear and slight rubbing to front covers from removal of library labels.The bookbinder erred when blocking the cases: He decorated the spines with a ship, while the title refers to Fleet Prison. Sadleir 183; Wolff 415.
