Good. 15 Cm x 23 Cm. xii+301; dated ink sig.of eminent historian of science R.M.Young top corner fr.pastedown, inscr. 'To His Excellency/M.Van De We(?)yer/ from his friend the Author' top fr.free endpaper, o/w internally clean & unmarked but rear gutter has gone completely leaving covers held at fr.joint only; covers generally clean and sound but somewhat discoloured and worn at extremeties with a few sm.edge dents. The broken back hinge is the main problem, o/w a G-VG rating would have been in order. It should be repairable fairly easily by a good book-binder.
