Prepared for the annual meeting of the California Library Association in Sacramento, California on October 20-24, 1959. Mimeographed as issued. Laid in is a1970 letter from the Wine Institute in San Francisco loaning the book for reproduction purposes and asking that it be returned. Apparently it was not. Covers significantly darkened. This book spans the gap between Amerine's 1951 hardbound check list covering 1938-1948 and his 1969 softcover check list for 1960-1968. The latter contained a less extensive and abbreviated 19 page supplement for 1949-1959. Scarce..
