Reprinted 1928, second edition published 1948; third edition 1960. Chess pages 1-122. An elementary primer. Contents: The rules; elementary tactics (value, powers of the pieces, etc); general principles of strategy (opening, middle-game); illustrative games, and problems.
Condition: Spine rubbed, slight chipping at head of front cover. Jacket 1/2" chip at front heal corner, front head edge chipped, torn at spine ends else a good copy in a poor jacket.
