Unnumbered copy from a limited edition of 100 copies. Signed and dated by Erwin Olaf. With an original photograph from the Chessmen series also signed and dated (1988) by Erwin Olaf. Dustjacket with light creasing to edges and slightest yellowing. Text in English and Dutch. The book measures 30,5 x 30,5 cm., the loose photograph is 27,5 x 23 cm. May require extra postage. "Mixing photojournalism with studio photography, Olaf emerged in the international art scene in 1988 when his series 'Chessmen' was awarded the first prize in the Young European Photographer competition. This award was followed by an exhibition at the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, Germany. Since then Olaf has continued to explore issues of gender, sensuality, humor, despair and grace in each successive series". A very collectible copy. .
