Ballantine Books, 1953. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very good plus/Very Good. Very good plus with slight shelf wear, otherwise bright and clean inside and out. In a very good dust jacket ($2.00 price intact) with a bit of chipping to spine ends and corners, slight fading to red title on spine, small (and very light) stain to bottom edge of rear panel, and a couple of small stains to the reverse (not visible from the exterior). An attractive copy of this 20th Century science fiction high spot.
Synopsis
Arthur C. Clarke is considered to be the greatest science fiction writer of all time. He is an international treasure in many other ways: An article written by him in 1945 led to the invention of satellite technology. Books by Mr. Clarke--both fiction and nonfiction--have more than one hundred million copies in print worldwide. He lives in Sri Lanka.
