Publisher's full black cloth, gilt lettering on spine, color paste-on on front cover, t.e.g. (red), fore and bottom edge deckle, illustrated endpapers. Illustrated with ten full-page color plates (including frontispiece) from paintings by Jessie Willcox Smith; and pictorial endpapers of The Old Curiosity Shop and title-page decoration by Euphame Mallison. This is a collection, edited, arranged and explained by Samuel Crothers, of Charles Dickens' most beloved child characters; each one featured in one of the 24 chapters.
