Formerly a haven of Christian values, love, and physical comfort, it deteriorates to a place of persecution, misery, want and sin. Children who cling to their Christian faith are punished and starved, becoming young martyrs, while one, Lame Walter, survives and becomes a preacher. An interesting piece of early anti-Communist propaganda. Interior - a two crease bump to the top corner of the text block, a slight small crease at the fore-edge of the pages, otherwise clean and tight with no other ownership marks. Exterior - light browning to the edges of the text block, creases at the corners, a crease down the rear cover near the hinge, sun fading to the spine and hinges, very light general fading to the colour of the covers.
