London, U.K.: B. T. Batsford, Ldt., 1951. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. A Very Good volume. Clean and tight, NO interior markings at all. Corners are gently worn as is the crown and heel. The Editor, James Laver was a British author, critic, art historian and museum curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum (a Keeper of Prints, Drawings and Paintings). He was a pioneering fashion/costume historian. Illustrated with sixteen (16) reproductions of color plates, (chromo-lithography) all in Pristine condition. A beautiful hard to find issue. The Good plus Dust jacket is extremity chipped with the spine being torn - but mostly in place. (see photo). Front flap is price clipped. Mylar protected jacket.
