London: Chatto & Windus Limited, 1961. First Edition. Blue Cloth. Near Fine/Good Plus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Large. N/a. 366pp. 1961. First edition. 8vo. large. Flat signed in blue ink by the author and also the then director, W. Denys Godin to the half-title page. Three folding plans and numerous illustrations and plates - all as called for. Original publisher's blue buckram cloth - gilt embossed to the spine. A near fine, clean, tight copy in good or good plus jacket. A neat former owner's name inscription in biro to the head of the front endpaper. The jacket is very largely complete but around 4 tears have been repaired to the verso in what appears to be masking tape - much the largest tear being 12cm in length.
