About This Item

Sydney, Summer Hill: The Writer's Press, 1966. Hardback small, no jacket, very good condition, pictorial cover, illustrated endpapers, black & white drawings, spine little faded, corner tip rear cover little rubbed, pages lightly toned, faint foxing covers, minor edgewear. 103 pp. This small collectible book for young adults has a big purpose in a changing world. It is a simple, friendly introduction to China. In its few pages and its simple language, this book sums up the country's remarkable history. The cover, and the expressive line drawings throughout, are the work of the author's 13-year-old daughter, Tess. (No date, but 1966, Trove.).
