Catholic Mission Press, Ho-Kien-Fu, 1915. Half-Leather. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Subtitled: "Their origin, etymology, history, classification and signification. A thorough study from Chinese documents." Translated into English by L. Davrout. Grey boards, black leather corners and spine with blind-stamped decorative borders, simple gilt decorative bands on spine, no titling on cover (with the exception of a barely legible title typed on a paper label on front), Chinese characters and English text, 246 pages. Corners, edges and spine ends worn, spine ends chipped with a half-inch open tear at bottom, sticker remnant on spine, faded sticker on front, back cover has several small, white spots, leather rubbed, text block edges darkened, end papers foxed, occasional small, pale spots in text, a two-inch by half-inch strip at upper edge of pp. 4-5 appears to have been repaired with paper.
