About This Item
Washington, D.C.: Joint Publications Research Service. Second Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good. This dictionary is a conversion into English of the "Chinesisch-Deutsches Worterbuch (Han-Te- Tz'u-tien)." The second edition has been revised to include a comprehensive conversion table between the Wade-Giles romanization system and the Pinyin. This conversion table was compiled primarily from the June-December 1958 issues of "Wen-tzu Kai-Ke," official journal of the Chinese Language Reform Commission, and is included as an aid to linguists accustomed to the more widely used Wade-Giles system. Dark green textured boards with bright green corners and spine, yellow title page and rear end paper, 845 pages. Cover has light shelf wear, negligible edge wear, a few light smudges on text block edges, owner's name in ink on end papers, red underlining of title and a few light stains on second end paper, a typed title has been affixed to spine with clear tape (book has no original exterior titling), otherwise book appears to be in great shape - clean, bright and tight.
