A reliable and fascinating guide to the history and development of the Chinese people and nation, as well as life during the early decades of communist rule under Mao; contains a chronological list of Chinese historical personages, bibliography, index. This edition's first appearance seems to be BOMC or their 'selection' but states 'first printing' on copyright page. Hardcover with dust jacket, 432pp., book shows an odd light spotting effect to upper pagination, d.j. shows light edgewear. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
