William Heinemann London, 1935. Hardcover. Fair/No DJ. Relié toile sans jaquette en ANGLAIS, POS on FFEP Roger Perrineau ex-libiris 1937, text is lightly yellowed with markings on a few random pages (less than 10%); Binding is loose (rounded spine, separation gap, at least one split) but wholly intact; visible wear to boards. First published in 1922, this is the April 1935 "reset" Collected Edition of the Works of W. Somerset Maugham.

Synopsis

W. Somerset Maugham was born in Paris in 1874. He trained as a doctor in London where he started writing his first novels. In 1926 he bought a house in Cap Ferrat, France, which was to become a meeting place for a number of writers, artists and politicians. He died in 1965.
