Nine of the 12 beautiful colored plates are from the wonderful paintings of Howard Pyle. 8vo 9" tall. xii, 224 pages. Red cloth stamped in green, white and gilt. Top edges gilt - foredges and bottom edges uncut. Marbled endpapers. Front endpaper beginning to split in crease. Binding is tight. Owner's signature on prelim. Some wear at corners and spine ends. Much of the white on cover is missing. no jacket as isssued. Good tight copy of a romantic book with a highly decorative binding..
