New York: O. Judd Co., 1887. Hardcover. Good-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, brown cloth boards with gilt design on spine. Exterior shows edge and corner bumps/wear along with soiling and spotting. Very small tear is present near the center of the spine (right side) which measures about 1/4 inch. Dark brown and pages and front and rear with front pastedown having a large bookplate from The Reynolds Library with the date 1884. The rear pastedown shows an ugly attempt to remove the library pocket and pastedown also shows the donation card pasted in showing the book was given by Geo. Ellwanger (George Ellwanger). Hinges are cracked at both front and rear boards and second front end page but the actual text pages are secure with no issues. Note: this is an ex-library copy and is from The Reynolds Library with evidence on both front and rear pastedowns, title page is also embossed with the library seal. Remaining pages are toned due to age but are clean.
