About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1866. First Edition. Hardcover. V. Quarto, unpaginated [31pp.], printed rectos only. Beveled boards with elaborate gilt details to both boards and spine. All edged gilt. A very good copy, bright and clean internally, expertly rebacked with original spine laid-down, and the inner hinges strengthened. Corners gently worn, but a sturdy, handsome copy. An elaborate publication (see McGrath p. 123; 144). Scarce in commerce, and appearing only a few times at auction in the last quarter-century.
