Quarter bound, marbled boards, calf spine. red leather spine label, gilt lettering. Wear and scuffing to boards, 1 1/2 inch piece chipped from head of spine, contents age-toned and partially foxed, binding is tight and sound, inscription and pencilled poem on front free endpaper, 1/2 inch strip excised form top of front endpaper. This rare volume includes all 12 months of the 1802 year, which was it's very first year of the publication of The Christian Observer.
