You may have seen the movie. It has become a beloved Christmas classic, along with Miracle on 34th Street and It's a Wonderful Life. A Christmas Story is short enough to read aloud to the family and suitable for all ages. Shepherd's writing is a rich treat. He put BB guns, leg lamps and Chinese Food in the Christmas canon.
