New York: Worthington Co., 1863. First US Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blue cloth boards with gilt text on spine. Exterior shows minor wear and spotting, corners and edges are lightly bumped and worn as well. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. Only hinge issue noted is at the front board hinge where there is a very small opening at the very top which measures less than one half-inch. Pages are tone due to age and some foxing and spotting is present, though mainly limited to the end pages and pastedowns. No signatures or bookplates present, no handwriting or library markings. Frontispiece still has tissue guard in place and attached.

Corners are bumped and a little frayed Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.
