Edge and corner wear to the dj, chipping, some portions missing along the upper edge of the front cover and some tears in the rear which have been taped, scuffed and scratched, corners are lightly bumped and rubbed, lightly shelf worn, some light outer page edge soil, overall a clean signed first edition! Signed by Jack Elinson on the ffep (Pat - Your fault almost as much as mine. Jack 10/8/59). Red cloth with gilt lettering on the front cover and spine. Dj is nicely preserved in a brand new protective mylar plastic cover! Wonderfully well-preserved! Very very rare and out-of-print! 440 unmarked and uncreased historical and educational pages! Extremely scarce and hard-to-find! "A chapter of survey highlights opens the report, and then the reader is carried systematically through the most comprehensive series of research efforts yet undertaken in this counrty to ascertain the chronic disease problems and needs for care of a rural community. The findings cast serious doubt on certain previous methods of chronic illness surveys and demonstrate a prevalence of chronic disease far in excess of that found in earlier studies. Many methodological problems in team research in health needs are discussed in complete detail.....". Inscribed By the Author. First Edition. Red Cloth. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
