About This Item
New York: The Heritage Press, 1958. Hardcover. 4to. White and pink decorated cloth over boards, slipcase. xxxiv, 196pp. Color illustrations. Near fine/very good. Bookplate on front pastedown; mild bit of slipcase edgewear. Tight, attractive copy of this "poor man's LEC," the trade edition of the Limited Editions Club version. Southey's popular translation, as Pritchett tells us, was actually an amalgamation of three different Spanish tales.
