NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1899. First Edition . Hardcover. Very good with no dust jacket. Ownership signature and "1914" in ink on front endpaper. The brown cloth is somewhat darkened at edges and on spine, with cloth just worn through at the heel of the spine. Illustration in red, white and black of title character on front board. Rear board shows just a hint of bowing. Illustrations by A. B. Frost, 210 pages.
