George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd., 1941. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1941. Reprinted. 236 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth with black lettering. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Binding is firm. Small pen and pencil marks to front endpapers. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some denting to edges. Spine and edges are heavily sunned, with mild crushing to ends. Faint brown marks overall, with a large paint mark to rear board. Book has a slight forward lean. Boards are slightly bowed.

Synopsis

Chronicles of Avonlea is a collection of short stories by L. M. Montgomery, related to the Anne of Green Gables series. It features a number of stories relating to the fictional Canadian village of Avonlea, and was first published in 1912. The book is dedicated: "To the memory of MRS WILLIAM A. HOUSTON, a dear friend who has gone beyond."
