The Ryerson Press. Very Good- in Good+ dust jacket. 1943. First Canadian Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Blue cloth covered boards with yellow lettering. Minor edgewear and lightly bumped spine ends. Lower 1/2" of front board is darkened. Jacket in archival plastic cover has several chips/tears up to 1" with related creasing; trace soil; spine panel is sunned but very legible; flaps not clipped. Binding somewhat shaken, and cracked at title page. Interior lightly toned. No ownership marks, stickers or stamps. Not ex-library. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 306 pages .
Synopsis
Chronicles of Avonlea is a collection of short stories by L. M. Montgomery, related to the Anne of Green Gables series. It features a number of stories relating to the fictional Canadian village of Avonlea, and was first published in 1912. The book is dedicated: "To the memory of MRS WILLIAM A. HOUSTON, a dear friend who has gone beyond."
