About This Item

London: Greenhill, 1988. 211 pp, 330 pp, 257 pp (3 volumes bound in one), 8vo (8 3/4" H). "(A) day-by-day and theatre-by-theatre record of the complex events of 1914-18. First published in three volumes between 1918 and 1920, it was originally produced under the auspices of the Ministry of Information, with Lord Gleichen, former Director of the Intelligence Bureau, as editor-in-chief. This new edition comes with a new introduction by Gwyn Bayliss, Librarian at the Imperial War Museum. The value of such a detailed chronology and commentary cannot be underestimated - for students, researchers or the general reader. Besides the chronlogy itself, this new, three-volumes-in-one edition includes the original and extensive indices to events, places and participants which add to its considerable value as a work of reference." Light cigarette odour, very minor edge wear, light wrinkling at top of spine, very minor soiling on bottom of textblock. Dust jacket has light edge wrinkling, light rubbing, minor browning along top edge.. Hard Cover. Very Good+/Very Good.
