Tarrytown, New York: Young Men's Lyceum Club. Soft cover. Very Good. 8" x 10" [Ca. 1902.] Pamphlet. [4] p.p. Programme features in middle column, with advertisements to lef and right columns, and head and foot of pages. Light foxing. Closed tears previously repaired with tape to p.p. 1 and 3. Pages browned. Some small nicks to edges, with sporadic tiny holes to pages. Else ia very good copy. Rare. Official Circus Programme guide for the Young Men's Lyceum in Tarrytown New New York, that took place in the clubs Music Hall on December 11, 12, and 13th. The programme promises audiences a Freak House, featuring The Albino Lady, The Leopard Boy, The S.S.S. Whiskerino now the Bearded Lady, The Dog Faced Boy, and 'lectures that will be delivered at regular intervals, showing how these great wonders have been brought into a state of tractibility, tranquility, and trubecility." The circus also features a buffalo, loaned from Buffalo Bill, Royal Bengal Tiger, a Lion and Elephant; an arena with strong man feats, a trick pony, clowns, and swinging trapeeze artists and other professional acts. Advertisements from local businesses and the Lyceum Library.
