Book Condition: Very Good' light wear at head, tail, tips, and board bottoms; wear through fabric at tips. No DJ. Beveled board edges; brown endpapers; clean internals, interior hinges are not split or broken. Frontispiece picture of town with tissue guard. 180 pp 8vo. This book was written at a time when rural (country) people were beginning to leave the country environment for the cities. When city people go to the country, they drink in the scenery more than life-long residents do. When country people come to the city their impressions are deeper than the city dwellers. This book is and effort to reproduce some of the effects of city scenes and character upon the intellect and imagination of two people from the country. Through poems, prose poems, and drawings, these feelings are expressed as are the glad tidings to finally be coming back home. C clean very presentable copy.
