Publishers' brown cloth with gilt titles to spine in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. Spine tips and corners very slightly rubbed; price label to front paste-down otherwise contents clean and bright with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket lightly spine sunned, with minor creasing to edge. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket. Museums of India series. The City Palace Museum, housed in the ancestral home of the Maharanas of Mewar, is the showcase for the art, history and traditions of the Mewar kingdom, and one of the high profile collections is an outstanding group of paintings of court life. Assemblies, processions, hunting parties, festivals and other royal occasions form the collection, by various artists dating from around 1700 to the mid twentieth century.
