New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1944. Published 1994. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper. Illustrated in black and white. Scarlet red cloth with gilt cover illustration and spine lettering, 299 pages, illustrated dustjacket. The book is in good condition with conspicous edgewear including three black spots along the bottom edge of the cover and three dampstains at bottom of text block edge, which bleed into margins but do not touch text, lightly rubbed spine ends and corners, sound text block, good hinges, name atop left corner of frontis, otherwise clean contents with no markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and is in fair condition with heavily rubbed and chipped extremities, with the front cover design well intact. . Signed by the Author. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
