New York: Harper and Brothers, 1848. Hardcover. Thick Octavo, viii, 1451 pages. In Good plus condition. Bound in the publisher's dark brown cloth bearing gilt lettering to black band to the spine. Boards show modest wear including scratches /scuffs, two open chips to the front/rear and some rubbing wear to the joints/edges. Previous owner's name to the front. Text block has marbled edges with tiny chips to the tail edges to few first pages. Marbled end papers. Some foxing interiorly.
Illustrated. NOTE: Shelved in Netdesk Column H, ND-H.
