(War Edition) Large, sturdy book, quality blue cloth, gray lettering very fine on spine, blue illustration of clipper, town and people waving inside covers and adjacent end papers with diagrams of ship hulls, 279 lightly browned pages, many illustrations throughout. Also includes a mimeograph copy of letter from Rear Admiral E.L. Cochine to Western Pipe and Steel about their war efforsts, plus a note regarding a naval battle between U.S. and German ships. DJ glossy gray background, an illustration of ship at top edges, a shipyard at bottom edges. DJ has tiny tears and thin chips to all edges, a larger chip at spine top. Fair DJ/Fine book.
