Minor chips to head of spine, toned ffl otherwise a nice copy in a scarce DJ. 12mo. (4.75 x 7 inches). Blue cloth with gilt lettering and ornament to spine. 222pp. Publisher's listing of 21 previously published titles facing titlepage. A nice early issue of #22 of The Travellers' Library Series in a redesigned dust jacket c. 1934. In 1926 Jonathan Cape republished literature and travel titles from his back catalogue and created a new high quality series of copyright books by authors such as WH Davies, A. Bierce, S. Butler, HG Wells, S. Lewis, DH Lawrence and J. Joyce, 'all attractively bound and designed for the small house or pocket', as stated in advert. This copy was printed in Guernsey by the Star and Gazette Co., Ltd. Cloth
