Synopsis

Clouded Hills is an historical novel by the American writer Elizabeth Moorhead set in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from the 1880s to the first decade of the 20th century. It tells the story of Alison Cuddy, daughter of a Pittsburgh steel magnate, as she negotiates the grim landscape of an industrial city and her Presbyterian community and strives for a better life of culture and art.
