"With Anecdotes of Its Famous Coffee Houses, Hostelries, and Taverns from the Seventeenth Century to the Present Time". VG in its crimson cloth, with bright gilt-insignia to front panel and bright gilt-lettering at the spine. Somewhat-pronounced fading along the spine, foxing to the preliminaries and, very lightly, to the text and elegant armorial bookplate at the front pastedown. Thick 12mo, 544 pgs. plus Chatto & Windus catalogue.
