A very good copy of the book, the jacket presents itself well though there is some chipping at the extremities THE COCKTAIL PARTY is a comedic play in verse form first produced on stage in 1949. The original cast of the production included [Sir] Alec Guinness and Irene Worth and debuted at the Edinburgh Festival. It was his first play since 1939’s FAMILY REUNION and his first work of verse since 1943’s Four Quartets.
