New York, Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1934., 1934. First edition (so stated: ""B-I"). 8vo. Original brown cloth stamped in black (spots on front cover), else very good. 309 pages. No dust jacket. Signed and inscribed by Zane Grey to Lola Gornall on the front free endpaper in his signature purple ink: "Altadena, Sept 27 - To Lola - my latest romance published July 1, written fifteen years ago. It is going strong. Paramount is making a motion-picture of it. I hope you like it. Ever, Zane." Zane Grey first met Lola Gornall, a poet living in Australia in April 1933. Between 1934 and 1938 Grey sent her over 500 letters. When they finally met the sparks flew. See Pauly, pages 301, 306, 307 for the details.. Inscribed by Author(s). 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
