About This Item

italy : Franco Maria Ricci, 1993. Hardcover. Fine/No Jacket. Luis Serafini. A superb unusual and highly imaginative book by Luigi Serafini who has created his own special world and language and has invited us to visit and stay for a while. Beautifully illustrated with 100's of richly colored detailed drawings of strange humans, animals, architecture, plants and more along with a text in a beautiful but undeciphered script. Beautifully printed and produced on fine paper. This edition is folio, full cloth binding printed and illustrated in color in the publishers black slipcase. Limited edition of 5000 of which this is numbered 907. There have been several different editions of this special book. There is a ink handwritten inscription on the verso of the front endsheet, otherwise this is a fine copy in a fine slipcase. One of the most beautiful books I've seen and quite scarce especially in this condition.
