In 1973 Bud Brown realised a lifelong dream when she started a coffee shop - Miss Brown's - in Sydney's brand new Centrepoint building, and it was an instant success. Two years later she started the equally successful Miss Brown's Flowers & Confections in the lobby of the Sydney Hilton. In this book she tells of her childhood in New England NSW, the move to Sydney at seventeen, her various jobs as secretary, teacher, television sales rep, Qantas PR girl and a politician's speechwriter.
