Illustrated dust jacket with cover art by Craig Stuart Rosenberg. Former owner's embossed stamp on half title: MHA Library of Marc Alpert. The author's first novel sets the arrival of extraterrestrials in the middle of a 21st century World War over oil. Winner of the 1993 Locus Award for best first novel. Anatomy of Wonder (2004), II-30. Book is in Near Fine Condition: slight discoloration along upper and lower edges of free endpapers; otherwise clean and bright. Dust jacket is in Very Good Condition: small scrapes at ends of spine, along lower edge of front section, and on both flaps; clea and bright.
