New York: Random House, 1965. With this book, Truman Capote popularized a new genre in modern literature, the "non-fiction novel." This is a Fine copy of the First Edition (stated First Printing). Maroon cloth binding with titling in silver and gilt; Capote's initials on the front cover. Clean text; 343 pages. Dark blue topstain, other edges rough-cut. The dustjacket is Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine, with first state points. It is unclipped; light edgewear at the margins, more prominent at the head and foot of the spine; a 1/4" chip on the rear panel. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good Plus.
