New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1957. First Collected Edition, Fourth Printing. Hardcover. Octavo, 534, iv pages. In Good plus condition with Fair dust jacket. Blue spine with dark blue and light brown text. Dust jacket is protected by mylar covering and has front flap detached, head edge of spine chipped off, chipping to tail edge of spine, tearing to spine, tearing to fore edge of rear cover, mild shelf wear, and moderate shelf wear. Boards have discoloration to edges. Textblock has owner inscription on front endpaper and stamps on fore and tail edges. Shelved Room A. 1374618. Special Collections.
Synopsis
Wallace Stevens (1879 – 1955) is a Modernist poet. Some of his best known poems in this collection include "Anecdote of the Jar", "Disillusionment of Ten O'Clock", "The Emperor of Ice-Cream", "The Idea of Order at Key West", "Sunday Morning", and "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird." Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, 1955
