Argus Books, 1929-01-01. Hardcover. Good. Hardbound in cardboard slipcase published by Argus Books. "This edition limited to two thousand copies ... Completed, December, 1929." Slip case with wear along bottom edge. Spine slightly faded. No dust jacket. Illustrated by John Austen. Deckle-edged pages, with some pages still uncut. Frontispiece protected by onion-skin paper.

Chicago: Argus Books. Near Fine in Very Good dust jacket. Limited Edition. Hardcover. A very beautiful copy of this limited edition. The book itself is virtually without flaw. I'm sure there is one, but I don't see it. Some of the pages have not been cut. This book was printed on top quality paper, which has aged to a creamy ivory. All plates are present, with tissue guards. The top edge is gilded. The jacket, which is made of parchment, has slight edgewear, a small closed tear at the back, and the spine has tanned. Normally I would put a mylar Brodart cover on such a jacket, but the slipcase is also present, and if Brodarted, the book would not fit in to it. The slipcase is sound, but with some wear to the edges. The translator is not credited. Fast shipping, with tracking number provided. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

Near Fine unmarked, back cover has faint corrugated discoloration across the top, but the front cover and spine are excellent with bright gilt, no flaws, hardly any wear.. Beautiful copy of limited edition, looks new except minor flaw to rear cove, perfect content too. Gorgeous illustrations, a fine-art book, excellent collectible copy. 6-1/2 x 10-1/4, 294 pp, b/w text illus, tissue-protected color plates, gilt title-pg illus, top edge gilt, other edges deckled.
