A rare, 18th century Japanese woodblock print of "Collection of Strange Stories: Journey to the East" written by Tachibana Nankei, a doctor and author in the late Edo period. "Journey to the East" is a travelogue that tells of strange stories, rare things, scenic spots, historic sites, people, and more in various places the author traveled to for medical training specifically Togoku (the area east of Kyoto).
This rare 1795, record is written in a column woodblock print format with furigana for easier reading with illustrations of samurai, scenery, commoners, nature, and more!
